Our steroid injection clinic is led by Fiona Warnock an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist. BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, HCPC, MCSP, Dip in Injection Therapy. Fiona has over 20 years experience and has been working in the NHs as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist in the Orthopaedic Service for ten years.

So far Fiona has carried out over 1,200 steroid injections injections.

Steroid injection is a very safe treatment. Like any medical treatment there may be side effects and these will be discussed in full at your initial consultation and prior to injection.

What other treaSteroid joint injections can reduce inflammation and ease pain in your joints. This allows you to move your joint more easily.

 Knee joint injection for Osteoarthritis- mild, moderate or severe. (while waiting for joint replacement).  Lateral Hip Pain- Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome  Elbow joint injection for OA- tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow.  Wrist joint injections for OA.  Steroid injections for trigger finger, thumb  Steroid injection for OA at the base of the thumb  Steroid injection for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome  Steroid injection for De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis  Ankle joint.  1 st MTPJ (Big toe, can be carried out by our podiatrists).  Mortons neuroma (Can be carried out by our podiatrists).tments could be used instead of local steroid injection? There is a range of tablets available which may help your condition. Other treatments such as physiotherapy or podiatry may be of benefit.
