Multidisciplinary Team

At Foot Clinic NI, we bring together a highly skilled multidisciplinary team under one roof to deliver complete, coordinated care for your feet, ankles and lower limbs. Our team includes HCPC-registered podiatrists (including extended-scope practitioners), specialist paediatric physiotherapists, advanced practitioner physiotherapists, and a medical doctor. Together with our dedicated Joint Injection Clinic, we offer seamless assessment, diagnosis and treatment — from routine care and children’s movement issues through to complex musculoskeletal conditions and ultrasound-guided injections. By working collaboratively, we ensure you receive the right expertise at the right time, helping you reduce pain, restore function and return to the activities you love.

As part of our multidisciplinary approach, Foot Clinic NI offers specialist clinics that combine the expertise of podiatrists, paediatric physiotherapists, advanced practitioner physiotherapists and medical doctors. This joined-up care allows us to assess and treat a wide range of conditions more effectively, under one roof.

Joint Injection Clinic

Our Joint Injection Clinic provides targeted relief for joint and soft-tissue pain using traditional injection therapy and hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation). Many injections can be performed under ultrasound guidance for greater accuracy.

Conditions we commonly treat include:

  • Shoulder – frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis, impingement, rotator cuff pain
  • Acromioclavicular (AC) joint pain
  • Knee osteoarthritis (mild to severe, including while awaiting joint replacement)
  • Lateral hip pain (Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome)
  • Elbow – tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow
  • Wrist osteoarthritis
  • Trigger finger / trigger thumb
  • Base of thumb osteoarthritis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • De Quervain’s tenosynovitis
  • Ankle joint pain
  • Big toe (1st MTPJ) pain
  • Morton’s neuroma

Children’s Movement Clinic

Our Children’s Movement Clinic is a unique multidisciplinary service for children and young people (typically under 16, and suitable for teenagers with sports-related issues). Each appointment includes a joint assessment by a specialist paediatric physiotherapist and a podiatrist, allowing us to look at both the feet and the whole body movement pattern together.

Conditions we commonly assess and help with include:

  • Toe walking
  • Flat feet or unusual foot position (feet turning in or out)
  • Growing pains
  • Foot, ankle or leg pain
  • Gait problems and developmental delay
  • Hypermobility and low muscle tone
  • Sensory integration and neurodiverse movement needs
  • Sports injuries in children and teenagers (including shin pain and lower back pain)

Together, these clinics form a core part of our multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients of all ages receive coordinated, expert care tailored to their individual needs.
